I first met this sweet couple last year at a few wedding open house events, and I immediately remember being so excited when they officially chose me as their wedding photographer. From the very beginning, their energy was fun, intentional, and full of joy—and I knew their wedding day would be something truly special to capture.

Their wedding took place on 4/11/26 at the beautiful Ironwood at Von Diech in Boerne, Texas, a stunning Hill Country venue surrounded by natural beauty and timeless charm. It was the perfect setting for a day that was equal parts elegant, emotional, and full of celebration.
As a San Antonio wedding photographer, weddings like this are exactly why I love what I do—getting to document real connection, meaningful moments, and a day that goes by so quickly but deserves to be remembered forever

The wedding day began with such a calm, joyful energy as everyone got ready for the celebration ahead at Ironwood at Von Diech in Boerne, Texas. There’s always something so special about the quiet anticipation of a wedding morning—surrounded by close friends, meaningful moments, and the excitement of what’s to come.
The bride looked absolutely stunning in a modern, strapless gown with a beautiful floral pattern from Olivia Grace Bridal. The design struck the perfect balance between romantic and fashion-forward, with its soft floral detailing giving the dress such a unique and timeless feel.

One of the sweetest moments of the morning was her first look with her bridesmaids. Their reactions were full of emotion, excitement, and joy as they saw her for the first time—such a beautiful reminder of the friendships that carry you through life’s biggest milestones.

From laughter to happy tears, the entire getting ready portion of the day set the tone for a wedding filled with love, connection, and celebration.

A classic pre-wedding moment with Jake and his groomsmen standing by his truck, sharing a beer and soaking in the anticipation before the ceremony. These are the kinds of candid, real moments that set the tone for an unforgettable wedding day at Ironwood at Von Diech in Boerne, Texas.

The ceremony at Ironwood at Von Diech in Boerne, Texas was nothing short of beautiful, emotional, and unforgettable—but it definitely came with one very memorable guest: the wind.
From the moment the bride began her walk down the aisle, the Hill Country breeze (crazy wind!) made its presence known. Madelyn’s veil had a mind of its own, constantly drifting into her face and creating a sweet, slightly chaotic moment that had everyone smiling, and laughing. Throughout the ceremony, Jake gently kept reaching over to pull the veil out of her face, trying to help keep things as picture-perfect as possible. (beautiful fact- Madelyn’s veil was her mother’s! She wore it on her wedding day!)

Despite the breezy conditions, the ceremony was filled with deeply meaningful moments. Their church pastor led a heartfelt prayer during the service, grounding the entire experience in faith, love, and intention. You could feel just how supported and surrounded they were by the people who mattered most.

Even with the wind doing its own thing, the ceremony was a beautiful reminder that perfection isn’t about everything going exactly as planned—it’s about the emotion, the commitment, and the people standing beside you.

The bride wore the sweetest pair of white heels accented with delicate bows, adding such a soft and feminine touch to her look. They paired beautifully with the spring-inspired florals throughout the wedding day, tying everything together with a light, romantic feel.
Madelyn’s perfume choice—Marc Jacobs Daisy. This soft, floral fragrance perfectly matched the spring theme of the day and added such a sentimental, sensory layer to her bridal details.

A sweet part of the day was capturing photos with the bridesmaids, dressed in a beautiful shade of blue and holding soft pastel florals, as they carefully dodged the wind—and even a bit of rain—while celebrating together before the ceremony.

A dreamy bridal portrait of the bride holding a clear umbrella from Kate Spade, a beautiful and unexpected touch as we worked around the rain. Even with the weather, the moment felt soft, romantic, and effortlessly elegant at Ironwood at Von Diech in Boerne, Texas.

The reception space at Ironwood at Von Diech in Boerne, Texas was absolutely breathtaking, brought to life with soft spring pastels and thoughtful, elegant details throughout. The design perfectly balanced romantic charm with a fresh, modern feel that tied the entire wedding day together beautifully.
The tables were dressed with light blue runners that echoed the bridesmaids’ dresses, creating a cohesive color story throughout the celebration. Paired with warm gold chargers at each place setting, the design felt elevated, timeless, and inviting all at once.
Floral arrangements by Felipe the Florist were truly the standout detail of the space. Gorgeous spring blooms in soft pastel tones brought texture, color, and movement to every table, perfectly complementing the natural beauty of the venue and enhancing the overall romantic atmosphere.

The reception began with a lively grand march, as guests joined in and made their way through the space in celebration, setting the tone for an evening full of energy, laughter, and unforgettable moments at Ironwood at Von Diech in Boerne, Texas.

The reception continued with one of the most emotional and meaningful moments of the day—a special dance between the bride and her mother in honor of her late father, Rusty, who passed just the year before. As they shared this heartfelt moment, they invited all guests to join them on the dance floor, surrounding them in love and support as they honored his memory together in a truly beautiful tribute.

The dance floor officially opened with an incredible performances from Chasing Keys, instantly bringing the energy to the next level. One of the standout moments was their high-energy rendition of The Devil Went Down to Georgia, featuring an absolutely insane fiddle performance that had everyone cheering, dancing, and fully packed onto the dance floor.

The dance floor stayed full of energy and laughter as guests celebrated late into the night, made even more fun with a playful idea from the bride and groom—wedding day glasses from Target that had everyone joining in on the fun. The glasses quickly became a favorite guest accessory, creating lighthearted, candid moments that perfectly captured the joy and personality of the celebration.

The celebration carried late into the evening as guests continued to dance, laugh, and enjoy every moment, with Chasing Keys keeping the energy high and the entertainment flowing.
