Love knows no bounds, not even the scorching Texas heat. In a picturesque engagement session on family property in Lockhart, TX, Megan and Cass proved that their love could withstand even the hottest of days. As their photographer, I had the privilege of capturing their joy amidst the sweat and laughter, creating memories that will last a lifetime. (Did I mention the sweat?!) From the moment we stepped onto the property, the heat was palpable. It was, in fact, the hottest day I had ever worked. But Megan and Cass were undeterred, their excitement for the session shining brighter than the sweat dropping down our heads! As we began shooting, everyone was immediately drenched in sweat, but rather than letting it dampen their spirits, it only fueled the energy of the day.

The first outfit change came with a refreshing twist. Megan, stunning in a dress from Anthropologie, and Cass, dashing in his chosen attire, decided to embrace the heat rather than fight it. So, we ended the first set of photos by playfully tossing bottles of water at each other, laughing as the droplets mingled with the sweat on our skin.

One of the highlights of the session was including Megan and Cass’s beloved pups. As they frolicked around the property, tails wagging, they added an extra layer of love to the photos. It was evident that these furry companions were not just pets but cherished members of the family, and capturing their interactions with Megan and Cass was a true delight.

In the end, Megan and Cass’s engagement session was more than just a photoshoot. It was a celebration of love, resilience, and the bonds that tie us together.

And as I packed up my camera and bid them farewell, I couldn’t help but feel grateful to have been a part of their journey! Part 2 will be coming with cooler weather in October.
