There’s something extra special about photographing people you’ve watched grow up, and Rachel and Nick’s engagement session was one of those full-circle moments for me.

We spent a golden Texas evening wandering through the town of Salado, stopping at spots like the historic College Ruins and Salado Creek. Every frame from this session radiated the love these two high school sweethearts share.
Rachel looked absolutely radiant in a flowing white maxi dress — the perfect choice for a future bride.

And Nick? Dapper as ever, perfectly complementing her with his classic style and fun personality and confidence.

The way they looked at each other spoke volumes — years of history, miles of memories, and a future they’re walking toward hand in hand.

Their story began back in high school, and despite going to rival Texas universities (Rachel at Baylor, Nick at Texas A&M), their love never wavered. Now, they’re counting down to their December 21 wedding — a date that already feels like it’s going to be packed with so much fun and celebration.

For me, this session was deeply personal. I’ve had the honor of photographing Rachel’s two older sisters, Emily and Kristen, on their wedding days, and being welcomed back to capture Rachel’s engagement is something I don’t take for granted. The Schiller family has such a special place in my heart. Over the years, they’ve become more than clients — they’ve become friends. So, photographing the youngest Schiller girl as she prepares to start her forever with Nick is equal parts joy and bittersweet. This is where I SHOULD insert all of rachel’s past high school photo shoots, however I won’t put her through that 😉

Rachel and Nick, thank you for trusting me with these memories. I cannot wait to celebrate with you in December. It’s going to be a day filled with love, and all the beauty that your journey together represent.

Endless love to you both! Thank you for all the years you’ve allowed me into your family! Can’twait for the greatest celebration 2025 has for us!
